Life of a Doctor

I enjoyed a lot when I went with my sister in law Fatma Mubarak to Dubai Hospital. She is a doctor and she was working while I was taking pictures. I learned how to listen to patients and be patient with them. Most of them have scrupulosity that they are ill. However, every doctor must treat patients and give them medicine if needed. I learned that, I should see every patients file to know if they have any allergies or hereditary disease before giving them any medicine. 

Sometimes, thy have an emergency situation and need to have a surgery if they are sufficient with. Otherwise, they send the patient with ambulance to Rashid Hospital. I saw a very sensitive situation, I was very impressed when I saw a child is unable to move and the blood was covering hem. In this situation, Dubai Hospital transfers the patient to Rashid Hospital which is more efficient in this case.

Currently, she holds Bachelor Degree in MBBS (General Medicine & General Surgery) and she are working as a family medicine resident in DHA (Dubai Health Authority). She is a specializing in Family Medicine that is equivalent to the PHD degree and its 4 years based program. So, in 2016 she is going to sit for MRCGP exam which is equivalent to master degree.

After a short breakfast she goes to the clinic. The patients are already there and she sees each in turn and prescribes medicines. This round of duty continues right up to mid-day or even later.

They have 1 day in a week which is academic day. It's a day where all the doctors gathers and discuss new updates about diseases or treatment or ways of counseling. In order, that day is to improve their daily knowledge and clinical practice.

Rooms are available for patient and in need of care and under observation. The doctor treats patients and records everything that important.

All doctors must check the schedule and timings of work when they are changing the shifts. However, they are discussing about the patients cases’. So, they should read the file to know what their case is and what they need and treat.

This Room is on-call room which all doctors are sharing this room during they are on call. On-call means extra hour’s duty that is compulsory and they don't get paid for it as its part of a doctor job.

These tools are suture kit which doctors are using it for suturing the cuts regardless minor or even in operation theaters the classic and old method is by suturing. In new practice surgeons are moving towards staples as the new development in the medicine is rising.

This is called tendon hummer. Doctors are using it in their clinical examination as it helps them in detecting any neurological symptoms.

Sometimes, they have a quizzes so they should read and know the important things that need to be reviewed. She like to read a lot of information about new diseases and how to treat. She is very interesting and excited to work and learn what is new.

In Break, she is going to any nearest restaurant out of the hospital to change her mood with her colleagues. But, if she has lot of work to do and in hurry, she goes to a coffee shop which is in hospital.

After she has disposed of all the patients, she goes home. She take rests for a while even at this time she is not quite relaxed. The telephone rings again and again. She replies to the queries of her patients with perfect calm and a sense of humor.

However, she is blessed to have a supportive and wonderful husband with her three little angles her children. Not everything is work, she spend her time with her family also.

Dr. Fatma have 2 daughters and 1 son. Her oldest daughter is Aljoori and she want to be a Doctor like her mother. Every time, she is wearing a white coat and stethoscope.

Reflection of Web 2.0

Blog: I learned from blog that I can post anything. Also, I can share my post, videos, pic and more with my family, friends and public. However, anyone can comment on my posts and review your blog. In addition, I put videos that I like it and share pictures that I took it. I can choose from many different layouts and free themes, and able to categorize my blog posts and create a custom menu.

Diigo: I can choose to share with colleagues and friends to allow them to access the web page, view my notes and highlights, and add my own annotations. However, After I made any highlights or notes that I like, I can bookmark the page. In addition, I can share my bookmarks, complete with annotations, with friends and colleagues.  Also, I can send the information to individuals even if they don’t use Diigo.

Google Calender: It's very helpful to organize my schedule and it‘s very easy to use and simple. However, it’s free to use for everyone. I can share "calendars" with other people  which is help me to do activities with my classmates or group members.

Google Chrome: I can use google search quickly and type what I need in there. It’s useful and quick because I can open an incognito window. Also, it helps me to save an important site in bookmarks. I can show or hide the bookmarks bar by clicking on the wrench icon. Put a tab in a new window which make me to search quickly, which help me to do my projects and know lots of information.

Google Docs: I learned how to create and share online documents, spreadsheets and presentations and it's free web. It’s helpful to share information with my group members and friends. Also, Files are stored securely online, which can save your works if you lose it in your computer. If I make any mistakes, my colleague will edit and correct the mistakes. However, I should publish the files to enable my colleague to add and edit. I can take the files to anywhere without laptop or computer.

Google Drive and Dropbox: I can take my stuff to anywhere as my files in Drive can be reached from any Smartphone , tablet, or computer. So wherever I go, my files follow and I can keep pictures, stories, designs, drawings, recordings, videos – anything. Hover, Dropbox is a shared folder automatically appears in the Dropbox of the person I want to share it with.

Google Maps: It's very useful to and helpful as it can show me the places and the direction. However, I can know the distance and know if there is traffic or no. I can know how long will take from me to reach to the specific place and it includes driving directions.

Google Picasa: Picasa is a free program from Google that I can use to organize and edit my digital photographs. It will display my pictures in Library view. Also, I find pictures that I forgot that I had. Picasa makes it so easy to view them. Also, I can add new folders manually by clicking on Tools then Folder Manager.

Google Sites: Google Sites is a free and easy way to create and share webpages. I learned that how to keep my site as private or public. Search across my Google Site content with Google search technology. It enables me to keep my web content (for example, videos, online documents, Picasa photo slide shows and offline files in one central location).

Google+: I learned how to create my own site and see what interesting people have to say, take part in communities focused on my interests and activities. Also, I can add simple note or a special photograph to share life's important moments with the public and friends.

Prezi: is like Power Point but has cooler features like the slide transitions. It designs and creates presentation software. It enable me to insert pictures, videos and upload the presentation from my laptop. I can share it with my friends or families and public.

Divorce

Divorce is the end of the marital relationship and responsibilities towards the parties.
Terms of the divorce are significantly different from country to country, but most of the states should do the steps in the court and required authority in a legal process (Fatwa Islam Web). There are many responsibilities for both couple after the divorce, such as spousal support, child custody, child visitations, parenting and the distribution of property (Taylor, Catherine). Divorce is a stressful experience and tiring for both parties, especially if there are children. It affects the financial affairs, schedules, child-rearing and he\she must rearrange the schedule homework. According to Dubai Statistics Centre that divorce rate rose in Dubai 6.6% between 2011 and 2012 (Ibongma, Hanadi). They found the most important reasons which cause divorce are financial problems and change in the society. Islam allows couples to divorce to save their rights and make them able to have a better life. On the other hand, UAE society doesn’t accept women being divorce and this can threat the life decision (Farag, Amani Aboul Fadl).

Environment

In this picture, we can see that there is lot of no needs staff. The old things can throw it in the garbage and no need to keep it in the home. Because of keeping these not useful things, the environment gets to affect and have diseases. People should care about these things that they are doing. If they don’t need it and are not useful for them, they should throw it and not to make the environment in dangerous situation.

Live Die Repeat

I have watched the trailer for Tom Cruise’s new sci-fi movie and I got so hooked up with the scenes. When I read about the movie description, Oh God Sci-fi! Adapted from Japanese novel/manga/anime! It made me want to know about the movie plot. So I went on to read the manga to find out about the story. So I dug out the translated novel online in mandarin. It’s actually a very rather short novel, with scenes just enough to make one movie. In the last page of it, I gasped. How dramatic the story is, how cool and genius it is. Totally, unexpected kind of plot. After that, when it lunches in the cinemas. I We went to Mirdif City Center to watch Live Die Repeat Movie and the time show was at 11:30 p.m which was last show. We buy snakes and went to watch the movie. It was very nice and creative movie.

Exhibition

Sony launched about 250 thousand colorful balloons in the streets of San Francisco. The artist was there and he takes a really amazing photograph in what we got to see is a child’s dream that left everyone, who managed to preserve such childhood dreams, in a great mood.
Most of the photographs in the gallery left a wonderful impression on me. These photographs let me think of beauty and it took me to another world which made me live moments of images.
Also, to have a very interesting and beautiful photo, the artist was waiting the perfect moment to take a picture. The photographs were very amazing especially the photo which include balloons, it make the photo more vitally and colorful. THREE things that I learned about photography through this exhibition.

1. People should visit the gallery art and see the photographs to sense of the beauty of the world and have a fantastic moment which make you live in a world of meditation through the images.
2. I learned that I have to understand the story behind each photograph to have a very interesting moment and surprise. To have a beautiful photo, you should wait for a perfect moment. You should be patient.
3. I also learned that the person has to have a hobby and visual to take an amazing photo. Not everyone have this kind of think and create.

Lumas Gallery

The photographs in the gallery were very amazing and fantastic. It’s really nice and makes you feel vital and live. I was surprised because I wasn't thinking same the artist way of taking the pictures. There were very interesting ways to have a gorgeous photographs. I should have time to see the photos in the gallery because it’s fantastic. Also, I like the way of the frames and the colors of the photos. However, the light and the focus in the photos were amazing and incredible. The patina of an individual wall appears like an abstract painting, the arrangement of colors seemingly left to chance. White, green, brown, and ocher tones mix together in a unique combination. There was a low contrast which leads you feel gentleness, softness and mildness and have a rule of third which make window in the points of lines.

Take medicine if you will use it

Lot of people is getting sick and they need to take a medicine. Emirati people, who are going to government hospitals, don’t have to pay for medicine. Most of them are taking medicine from the pharmacy but they are not using it or don’t complete the treatment. In this picture we can see that there is lot of medicine, some of them are used and most are new which is not open. Poor people can’t pay for this medicine. So, why they are taking the medicine while they are not using it? If they don’t want to get treatment, they don’t have to take it from the pharmacy or they can take it to medicine domination place.

Outback Restaurant in Dubai Mall

My favorite food is Steak and baked potato. I had dinner in Outback Restaurant which located in Dubai Mall. On Friday, the restaurant was crowded and we wait for 10 minutes. I was very hungry and thirsty so, I was a little bit nervous. however, I order there a rib eye which is my favorite steak with baked potato and corn. It was amazing and delicious, everyone should try it.

How to Paint a Silk Scarf

Apply any shapes of dye while the silk is still wet. Notice how the lines have a soft, fuzzy edge to them.

Add a darker color (such as a darker shade of your primary color) next to add dimension to the design while the silk is still wet. 

Paint additional designs of your choice with the darkest shade of your primary color using the wet-on-dry technique again. Allow the silk to dry thoroughly before putting it on.

I never leave home without a scarf, and neither should you. A scarf is a woman's best friend for accentuating your good points and concealing things you want left mysterious!

Chewy Melt Cookies

Chewy melt Cookies

Before 2 days, I order from chewy melt cookies from home bakery. I heard a lot about it and my friends were commending it to me. My family was impressive because when you put it in your mouth its melt within one second. Also, it’s nice to give this box of cookies as a gift for girls because most of them like cookies and chocolate. I liked the way of packing the box; it was very nice and simple. To order from Home Bakery, I should order before 2 days at least. However, it was nice and delicious cookies.

My Sweetheart

I like to see my daughters with their cousins. When they are sharing their games and dolls together, I feel impressive. Some children don’t want to share their own games because they feel nervous and angry or they will cry immediately and fight. I don’t like this attitude, its shame to have this attitude. I’m proud of my daughters.

Tim Hortons.. Have a Cup of Coffee

Tim Hortons is always evolving to meet consumer tastes. There are lot of branch but I always going to have a cup of coffee in Dubai Mall. I feel different there because I can set in an opining area and see Burj Khalifa. However, I like to drink French Vanilla because it's very tasty and delicious.

Tim Hortons specializes in coffee and other beverages, baked goods, and a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. So, you can have a breakfast there also.

Visit Gallery

On Tuesday, I went to DIFC to visit an art gallery which is The Empty Quarter Gallery and it was very interesting.
Firstly, when I enter to the gallery, I saw very interesting photographs.
Most of photographs were taken in Dubai and most of it was for Burj Khalifa. However, I was very happy to see the photographs and paintings.I feel that I’m proud to have in my town the tallest building in the world. The artists were very professional and brave to take the pictures in a very proficient way.Also, I like the colors and the quality of the picture. I have taken 2 pictures of Burj Khalifa, one of them were taken from high angel which was incredible. As I can see the down town and a beautiful blue color with an amazing buildings.
